This handbook is designed to provide you with essential information about how our Company operates. It supplements the official Articles of Agreement and your individual Member Contract, both of which you should have received and read. Keep this handbook handy for quick reference. This handbook is also provided to non-members who may be in the presence of the company but not affiliated contractually.

General Terminology:

Company: This is a designated group of people working together towards a common goal. In this accord, it has nothing to do with a business, simply a group of people to be specifically identified.

Prize: This is an object of value that has been acquired through the Company's endeavors. Prizes may include treasure, artifacts, valuable information, or other items deemed worthwhile by the Company. Prizes are not necessarily monetary in nature.

Member: This is a person who has been formally recognized and accepted as a member of the Company.

Non-member: This is a person who has not been formally recognized and accepted as a member of the Company.

Venture: This is a quest for prize either online, in person, or in game.

Vessel: This is equipment that allows movement either online, in real life, or in game. I can refer to a car, truck, bike, or boat, it may also refer to a computer, phone, or tablet.

Exceptional Bravery Defined:

Member: This is an act that is performed selflessly and despite potential consequences to oneself.

Non-member: This is an act that is performed selflessly and despite potential consequences to oneself, and which benefits the Company, a member of the Company, or a member's family.

Position Terminology:

Captain: This is the leader and administrator of the Company, keeper of these Articles of Agreement and the Company log. The Captain has the final say on all matters related to the Company.

Quartermaster: This is the person who is in charge of Company stores, navigation, assists with overseeing discipline, divides Company Prizes, and handles the Company log under the Captain's Authority.

Master: This is the person who is in charge of equipment, personnel, and day-to-day direction of the Company under the Captain's Authority.

Boatswain: This is the person who is in charge of tasks, schedules, and assists in disciplinary measures of the Company on a day-to-day basis under the Captain's Authority.

Gunner: This is the person who is in charge of training, inspects larger equipment, and accounts for supplies under the Captain's Authority.

Open Forum: This refers to open communication where all members are allowed to speak and be heard.

Closed Forum: This refers to communication that is limited to specific topics and designated individuals.

1. Communication:

Primary Channels: We use the following communication channels:

When to Use What:

Discord: Daily updates, announcements, quick questions, informal discussions.

Email: Formal announcements, official notices, private communication with officers.

Text: Urgent messages, time-sensitive information.

Respectful Communication: Always be respectful and considerate in your communication, even during disagreements. Avoid offensive language, personal attacks, or spamming.

2. Ventures (Quests for Prizes):

Notification: You will be notified of upcoming ventures through [Specify Channel - usually Discord].

Participation: Participation in ventures is encouraged but not always mandatory. Let the Master or Boatswain know if you are unable to participate.

Preparation: Ensure your equipment (Vessel) is clean and ready for use before each venture.

Prize Distribution: Prizes are divided according to the formula outlined in the Articles of Agreement. The Quartermaster will handle the distribution.

3. Meetings and Forums:

Open Forum: These are opportunities for all members to discuss Company matters. Be prepared to share your ideas and listen respectfully to others.

Closed Forum: These are limited to specific topics and designated individuals (usually officers).

High Deliberations: The Captain may call these with the officers for confidential discussions.

General Deliberations: The Captain may call these with all members for open discussion.

Meeting Schedules: [Specify any regular meeting schedules, if applicable].

4. Conduct and Discipline:

Respect: Treat all members and non-members with respect.

No Violence: Physical violence within the Company is strictly prohibited.

Disputes: Resolve disagreements peacefully. The Captain or a designated officer can help mediate.

No Gambling: Gambling for money within the Company is not allowed.

Quiet Hours: Observe quiet hours after 8:00 PM. Keep noise levels to a minimum.

Equipment: Keep your equipment clean and in good working order.

Desertion: Abandoning your duties or deserting the Company can lead to removal from the roster.

Theft: Stealing from the Company or other members will result in immediate removal.

5. Roles and Responsibilities:

Captain: The leader and administrator of the Company.

Quartermaster: In charge of Company stores, navigation, prize division, and the Company Log.

Master: In charge of equipment, personnel, and day-to-day direction.

Boatswain: In charge of tasks, schedules, and assisting with discipline.

Gunner: In charge of training, equipment inspection, and supplies.

Members: Participate in ventures, follow the rules, and contribute to the Company's success.

6. Company Log:

The Company Log is a vital record of our activities. It is maintained by the Quartermaster and accessible to all members upon request to the Captain.

7. Membership:

Joining: Prospective members must be voted in by the Company.

Removal: Members can be removed for violating the Articles of Agreement, by a three-quarters majority vote.

Reinstatement: Removed members (not barred) may request reinstatement after 60 days, subject to a vote.

Barring Reinstatement: Certain actions can lead to a bar on reinstatement.

8. Prizes:

Prizes are divided according to the formula in the Articles of Agreement.

Exceptional bravery may be rewarded with an extra share.

9. Non-Members:

Non-members have no voting rights.

They may not receive prizes unless granted by the Captain.

10. Amendments:

The Articles of Agreement can be amended with the Captain's approval and a three-quarters majority vote, or unanimously if the Captain is absent or disapproves.
