Company: This is a designated group of people working together towards a common goal. In this accord, it has nothing to do with a business, simply a group of people to be specifically identified.
Prize: This is an object of value that has been acquired through the Company's endeavors. Prizes may include treasure, artifacts, valuable information, or other items deemed worthwhile by the Company. Prizes are not necessarily monetary in nature.
Member: This is a person who has been formally recognized and accepted as a member of the Company.
Non-member: This is a person who has not been formally recognized and accepted as a member of the Company.
Venture: This is a quest for prize either online, in person, or in game.
Vessel: This is equipment that allows movement either online, in real life, or in game. I can refer to a car, truck, bike, or boat, it may also refer to a computer, phone, or tablet.
Member: This is an act that is performed selflessly and despite potential consequences to oneself.
Non-member: This is an act that is performed selflessly and despite potential consequences to oneself, and which benefits the Company, a member of the Company, or a member's family.
Captain: This is the leader and administrator of the Company, keeper of these Articles of Agreement and the Company log. The Captain has the final say on all matters related to the Company.
Quartermaster: This is the person who is in charge of Company stores, navigation, assists with overseeing discipline, divides Company Prizes, and handles the Company log under the Captain's Authority.
Master: This is the person who is in charge of equipment, personnel, and day-to-day direction of the Company under the Captain's Authority.
Boatswain: This is the person who is in charge of tasks, schedules, and assists in disciplinary measures of the Company on a day-to-day basis under the Captain's Authority.
Gunner: This is the person who is in charge of training, inspects larger equipment, and accounts for supplies under the Captain's Authority.
Open Forum: This refers to open communication where all members are allowed to speak and be heard.
Closed Forum: This refers to communication that is limited to specific topics and designated individuals.
This Articles of Agreement establishes the rules and governance for a non-commercial group of individuals who have joined together for [briefly state the group's purpose, e.g., shared enjoyment of online games, collaborative creative projects, etc.]. This is not a business or for-profit entity.
Know all persons by these presents that we, the undersigned, do hereby agree to the following articles, for the good governance of this Company and the success in all of Company ventures:
All prizes shall be divided as follows:
The Captain shall receive two shares.
The Quartermaster shall receive one and a half shares.
The Master, Boatswain, and Gunner shall each receive one and a quarter shares.
The remaining prize shares shall be divided equally among the rest of the Company.
Every member shall conduct themselves in a civil and respectful manner.
No member shall strike another member within the Company.
Quarrels shall be settled peacefully. The Captain may facilitate a resolution, utilizing methods such as a coin toss, drawing straws, or mediation by an officer.
No gambling with cards or dice for money shall be allowed.
Quiet hours shall be observed after 8:00 PM. Any activities after that hour shall be conducted quietly. No running Company servers or equipment during this period without express permission from the Captain. Reading, text, chat, discord is allowed with noise at a minimum.
Every member must keep their equipment clean and ready for use.
Deserting the Company or abandoning their duties in times of need shall be punished by removal from the Company roster.
Any member who steals from the Company or cheats another member shall be removed from the Company roster.
Any member may be removed from the roster. Removal may be proposed by the Captain or any officer designated by the Captain. The Captain shall then call for a vote by the Company. Removal requires a three-quarters majority vote.
Every Member Shall be notified of ongoing ventures.
Every member shall respect the Captain's position and judgment.
Every member shall have an equal voice in matters of importance to the Company.
Each member shall take their turn at duty, but shall not steal from acquired prizes under penalty of removal from the Company roster.
The sick and injured shall be cared for to the best of our ability.
Any member who shows exceptional bravery in any circumstance shall receive an extra share of the prize.
Non-members shall have no voting rights in Company matters.
Non-members shall not be given shares of Company prizes unless granted by the Captain.
The sick and injured non-members shall not be cared for unless authorized by the Captain.
Any non-member who shows exceptional bravery in a circumstance that directly aids the Company may be granted a share of the prize at the Captain's discretion.
Any non-member who was once a member and is not barred from reinstatement may request a reinstatement vote. The Captain has the discretion to bring this request to a vote by the Company.
Any non-member who wishes to become a member of the Company may request a vote. The Captain has the discretion to bring this request to a vote by the Company.
The Captain shall have discretion on matters of interest to the Company. Upon their approval, the Captain shall ask the Company to vote on the matter. All approvals shall need a three-quarters majority vote to be approved.
The Captain has the right to call High Deliberations, where the Captain seeks candid input from the Gunner, Boatswain, Master, and Quartermaster in open or closed forum.
The Captain has the right to call a General Deliberation of all members of the Company to speak candidly about any topic in an open forum.
The Captain has the final say in all matters but shall govern justly and with the consent of the crew. To ensure this, the Captain may call for a vote by the Company to confirm their continued confidence in the Captain's leadership.
Any member who disobeys the Articles of Agreement or incites mutiny shall be punished by removal from the Company roster and a bar on reinstatement votes, which can only be lifted by the Captain.
The Captain shall have the right and responsibility to protect and provide for the crew to the best of their ability.
The Captain shall have the right to assign and remove persons from leadership roles as necessary. However, the Company shall also vote on the matter. The Company must have a three-quarters majority to override a removal. These actions must be recorded in the Company log with full details, including the events leading to the change and the vote details.
Removal of the Captain shall only happen if any member of the Company requests a vote on the matter. The Company must have a unanimous vote to remove the Captain. These actions must be recorded in the Company log with full details, including the events leading to the request and the vote details.
If there is no Captain and more than six individuals wish to form a Company under these Articles of Agreement, they must sign the agreement and immediately vote on a new Captain.
The Quartermaster from the previous Captaincy (if available) shall record all events and vote details in the Company log. If no Quartermaster is available, the newly elected Captain shall assign roles, including a new Quartermaster, who will then make the necessary log entries.
The Captain is responsible for ensuring the Company Log is properly documented.
The Captain is responsible for ensuring all assigned roles fulfill their tasks according to this Articles of Agreement.
The Company log shall record all significant events, including:
Joining and leaving of members
Decisions on prizes and their division
Disciplinary actions and their reasons
Votes on any matter, with a record of how each member voted
Amendments to the Articles of Agreement
The Company Log Shall be updated by the Quartermaster.
Logs shall be kept indefinitely.
All Log Entries will be stored in the Company Log Program but all entries must be sent to all members via email to the company roster and updated on the company discord.
The members may request to see the company log by requesting access to the Captain.

Past Captains who were not removed from the roster of the Company shall be given respect of the members and should be utilized by the current Captain as a source of guidance.
Past Captains may be approached for requests for votes of reinstatement, but should take counsel with the current captain in such matters.
Past Captains shall be given no additional prizes.
All persons removed from the Company roster shall have their name and the date of removal recorded in this Article and a complete entry in the Company Log detailing the events leading to the removal.
Removed individuals may retain shares of any prizes they were entitled to at the time of removal.

All persons not barred may request a vote for reinstatement after a period of 60 days has passed since removal of the company roster.
All requests for votes of reinstatement must be made to the Current Captain or a Past Captain.
All persons reinstated into the Company shall have their name, the date of reinstatement vote, the vote count recorded in this Article, and a complete entry in the Company Log detailing the events leading to the reinstatement.

Removal of a Bar of Reinstatement may be made by the Captain upon discovery of acts of bravery bestowed to the company or their family members by the barred members.
